The Mobile Protection Pack is an insurance plan for your mobile phone or tablet. The Protection Pack consists of the following 3 services:
- Replace — Your insurance plan will cover the replacement of your phone or tablet in the case of theft, out-of-warranty malfunction, loss or other damage.
- Locate — This service will lock your phone remotely, to protect your privacy, in the event you lose it. It will also try to track your phone via GPS and sound an alarm to help find it.
- Support — This is personal support that will help you figuring out how to use your equipment, troubleshoot problems and other technical problems.
The replace and support features can be purchased separately for $6.99 and $9.00 monthly, while the locate feature is only available in the Protection Pack. The Pack (all 3 services) is available at the price of $9.99 per month. Deductibles will begin at $50 and are as high as $199, depending on which tier (there are 3) your device falls in. The more expensive devices, such as the iPhone and Galaxy Tab, will fall in tier 3, the most expensive tier, for $199. Only new devices in the first 30 days after activation or renewal can take advantage of this insurance.
